Perspectives

With the figure of artistic director Chase Johnsey, we embark on a journey into a world of struggle, dreams and transformation. A path on which to identify with this exceptional artist.

Show created for its world premiere at the Castell Peralada Festival in 2021.

"A work inspired by the story of the Ugly Duckling by Hans Christian Andersen.
Perspectives shows us Johnsey's trajectory as a dancer, his relationship with his mother, the trials he has had to overcome to be able to materialize his artistic project - which is about equality in the world of dance - add to this proposal that raises the LGTBI+ flag high and breaks the molds of gender identity.

The public will be able to savor a range of choreographic languages. A powerful danced biopic that promises images of impact, a story that stands as a paradigm of a whole vindictive movement that comes from afar."

A total closeness with the dancers, intensifying the involvement of the audience, certainly perplexed by such a pioneering and committed proposal.
