Tongues

A transforming scenic journey full of images and metaphors through the movement of the body and its expressive capacity.

How small can a thought be to fill a lifetime? Inspired by the work and life of Ludwig Wittgenstein, one of the leading philosophers of the 20th century who tells us that "in most cases, the meaning of a word is its use". Understanding the other and making oneself understood, a challenge where words are not enough.

Tongues is a constant game of contrasts between extravagant and extravagant and sensual movements, light and dark, materialism and spirituality. The different characters, seemingly unconnectedseemingly unconnected, enter into relationships where often the frustration of not understanding each other and the fear of being rejected, provoke a constant search for light, for openings to reinvent themselves.

It is not what we say, but the way and the context in which we say it. The same happens with dance: it is the subtlety in the use of movement and gesture that outlines the meaning.
