Anaëlle Tanné
Principal Dancer
Montpellier, Francia.
Anaëlle Tanné is a Principal Dancer with Ballet de Barcelona, born in Montpellier, France. She began her dance training at the age of five, combining her academic studies with training at a public dance school. She later continued her professional training in Toulouse, where she spent three years at VM Ballet, developing a strong technical and artistic foundation.
In September 2021, she joined Ballet de Barcelona as a member of the corps de ballet. Her progression within the company has been consistent, being promoted to Soloist in September 2022 and subsequently to Principal Dancer in January 2025.
Since joining the company, Anaëlle has performed in a wide range of classical, neoclassical, and contemporary productions. Her repertoire includes Clara in The Nutcracker, the Four Cygnets in Swan Lake, and as well as soloist roles in Tongues and Chronos.

One of the defining roles of Anaëlle's career with Ballet de Barcelona has been Clara in The Nutcracker. She has performed the role extensively in the company's long-running production, which reimagines the classic Christmas ballet through a contemporary and locally rooted perspective. In this version, Clara is portrayed as an active and courageous heroine who discovers her own strength and ultimately takes control of her journey, rather than waiting to be rescued.
Through her interpretation of Clara, Anaëlle has become closely associated with one of the company's most established productions, performing the role across venues throughout Catalonia and Spain. The production combines the traditional magic and classical vocabulary of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker with a narrative centred on courage, imagination, authenticity, and self-discovery.
Throughout her time with Ballet de Barcelona, Anaëlle has developed into a versatile artist, performing in major classical productions as well as neoclassical and contemporary works. Her journey within the company reflects a continuous artistic evolution, versatility, and a growing presence in roles of increasing responsibility on stage.
