Adriá de Francisco
Head Technical · Lighting Technical
Sabadell, Catalonia
Born in Sabadell, Catalonia, Adrià de Francisco began his professional career in theatre in 2023, working as a technician across different companies and live productions. He trained in Image and Sound in Sabadell, where he developed a particular interest in lighting and the technical aspects of live performance.
In December 2024, he joined Ballet de Barcelona, where he has since developed into the company’s Technical Director and Lighting Designer. His responsibilities encompass the technical coordination and execution of productions, as well as the creation and operation of lighting designs.

At Ballet de Barcelona, he has contributed to major productions including The Nutcracker, Giselle, Carmen, and the company’s 2026 Balanchine repertoire. For Carmen, he was responsible for the lighting design, combining the technical demands of the production with its visual and artistic requirements.
His work as a lighting designer also extends beyond the company, including collaborations with other performing arts productions such as NS Danza’s L’aneguet lleig. Through his work, Adrià contributes to translating the artistic vision of each production into its technical and visual reality, both in the theatre and on tour.
